Welcome to the Charles E. Brooks Venice Gallery. Mr. Brooks' current book project is Venezia Romantica, a photographic story about the traditional craftsmen whose combined artistry make today's modern gondola. Using ancient tools and techniques, venetian carpenters, blacksmiths, engravers, gold leaf artists, and more create a gondola system that has become a symbol of venetian heritage. Even the clothes of the gondolier are included among the traditional crafts. The book is planned for a 2009 release in both English and Italian editions. Venice Gallery.
